Keep cube steak cut in serving sized pieces wrapped separately and frozen so they are always on hand for a quick meal.
Take out the number of steaks you need.
Melt a enough butter or margarine to keep the steak from sticking in a skillet. You will need more if you are cooking more.
Put enough flour in a bowl for the number of steaks you are cooking. Dip the steak in the flour, covering both sides. The flour keeps juices in and helps the steaks brown. Through any excess flour away afterwards since you dipped raw meat in it.
Place steak in hot skillet and fry one side about 5 minutes, or until browned as you like it. Turn and fry the other side the same.
Remove steaks to a hot plate and sprinkle with pepper.
