This recipe is easy and is healthier for us than the recipes full of butter or margarine:
Microwave Crumble
Remove 1 cup cake mix from a box of white or yellow cake mix and reserve for topping.
Spray a 7 x 11 or similar size pan with vegetable oil.
Spread remaining cake mix (about 3 cups) in the baking pan.
Spoon a can of pie filling over the cake mix.
Sprinkle the cup of reserved cake mix on top.
Combine ½ cup water and 1 teaspoon lemon juice and pour evenly over the mix. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you desire.
Microwave on High for 15 minutes. Rotate dish 2 times if you don’t have a carousel microwave.
Place on a sheet of foil on the counter top to cool a bit. This helps the cake finish cooking.
Serve warm or cold.
