1 ½ pounds beef stew meat
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup uncooked medium barley
2 cans beef broth (or 2 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 2 cups boiling water)
1 cup water
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp marjoram
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
Mix all ingredients in a 4 quart slow cooker.
Cover and cook on Low 8 to 10 hours
Add 2 cans mixed vegetables (drained) and cook until vegetables are heated through.
