Breakfast Casserole

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Cook and crumble 1 pound sausage in skillet; drain grease. Put sausage on a paper towel lined plate to soak up additional grease.

Line bottom of oblong baking dish with crescent roll dough, pressing perforations to seal.

Sprinkle sausage and about 2 cups shredded cheese on top of the dough. Swiss cheese is good, but try mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite.

Combine 3/4 cup milk, 4 eggs, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper in a cup and mix well making sure the egg yolks are broken and completely blended. Pour this evenly over the cheese layer.

Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until set.

Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares.

Good served with cheese grits.

Refrigerate and leftovers.
